Adult Acute Partial Hospitalization

Partial hospitalization is an all-day group-based program that provides treatment, support, and case management services for those who suffer from a mental illness which may also include substance abuse. We offer individualized services geared to the unique aspects of each person's strengths and needs.

Children's Mobile Response and Stabilization Services

We provide immediate crisis response on-site and coordinate subsequent stabilization services to ensure the safety and well being of children, youth, and their families and caregivers who are facing crisis situations as a result of escalating risk behaviors that may disrupt a child or youth's current living arrangements.

Child Partial Hospitalization Program

The Newark child partial hospitalization program offers full and half day programs for children ages 5 to 17 years who have a history of psychiatric hospitalization or residential treatment, or who are at risk for such treatment.

Crisis Services for Children and Adults

We provide 24-hour emergency and crisis psychiatric evaluation and treatment, both on and off-site, for adults and children at two locations:

  • Crisis Services Clinic at UBHC in Newark
  • Psychiatric Emergency Services/Screening Center at University Hospital

Intensive Outpatient Program for Children and Adults

Our short-term, multidisciplinary, structured program consists of intensive treatment and stabilization in an outpatient setting. Services include individual, family, and group therapy, along with psychiatric management services.

UBHC Outpatient Services for Children and Adults

Our outpatient services provide a variety of interventions for children ages 4 to 17 years, adults, and older adults who have a mental illness. We focus our services on individuals with limited resources transitioning from more intensive services, such as partial hospitalization or inpatient settings.
