- Advanced Practice Nurse
After graduating from East Stroudsburg University with my RN and Bachelor of Science in Nursing, I started my career in pediatric nursing at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital. During that time I always found myself gravitating to children with complex care needs, especially the children with an oncology diagnosis.
Once I attained my master’s degree and certification as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner from Seton Hall University in 1997, I joined the Division of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology as their Inpatient Advanced Practice Nurse. In this position I have been an active member of the Pediatric Pain Committee, Responsible Investigator RN for Children’s Oncology Group and APHON Chemotherapy & Biotherapy Instructor.
I also was one of a core group to help establish the Pediatric Advanced Comprehensive Care Team, our Pediatric Palliative Care Program, at Bristol-Myers Squibb Children’s Hospital at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital-New Brunswick.
Our Advanced Practice Providers work in collaboration with the physicians in their respective oncology programs and may not always be scheduled directly.
