Joe Huang, MD, FACS, is Associate Professor of Surgery at Rutgers-New Jersey Medical School (NJMS). He completed his vascular surgery fellowship at NJMS and his general surgery residency at Albert Einstein College of Medicine-Montefiore Medical Center, where he worked with Dr. Frank Veith and Dr. Takao Ohki. He holds an MD from Rutgers-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and a bachelors degree in chemistry from Cornell University. Dr. Huang is board certified in vascular surgery and general surgery. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS), Fellow of the Society for Vascular Surgery (FSVS), as well as a Registered Physician in Vascular Interpretation (RPVI). He is a member of the Eastern Vascular Society (EVS), Vascular and Endovascular Society (VESS), and Society for Clinical Vascular Surgery (SCVS). He served as program committee chairman of the Vascular Society of NJ (VSNJ) and sits on the University Hospital Quality Improvement Committee. As a core faculty member of the NJMS Vascular Surgery Fellowship, he is actively involved in teaching fellows, residents, and students. Dr. Huang is involved in multiple clinical trials and research studies for critical limb ischemia and dialysis access. His clinical expertise includes the open and endovascular treatment of aortic aneurysms, carotid artery stenosis, peripheral arterial disease (PAD), dialysis access needs, deep venous thrombosis (DVT), and varicose veins.
