Provider Biography
Dr. Galloway is an Assistant Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School with an emphasis on traumatic injuries and traumatic sequelae.
Interests include:
- Fractures of the upper extremity from the shoulder through wrist
- Fractures of the lower extremity from hip to foot
- Fractures of the pelvic ring and acetabulum
- Complex fractures involving: shoulder, elbow, hip, knee ankle.
- Treatment of non-united and malunited fractures, including post traumatic deformity, and limb length discrepancy
- Osteomyelitis and bone infections
- Post traumatic and degenerative joint reconstruction via arthroplasty.
Dr. Galloway received his Bachelor of Science from Presbyterian College in Clinton, South Carolina. He then continued to The University of South Carolina School of Medicine in Columbia, earning his Medical Degree with honors.
Following medical school, Dr. Galloway completed a general surgical internship at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston in 2017. He then entered the field of Orthopedics completing his residency at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School in Newark, New Jersey in 2022. Dr. Galloway further specialized through a fellowship in Orthopaedic Trauma Surgery at Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, North Carolina in 2023.
Dr. Galloway has worked to advance the field of Orthopaedics through research and has authored several original articles in Orthopaedic journals, covering topics such as fracture fixation techniques and radiologic diagnostics in fracture care.
Additionally, he has a passion for education and is an active part of the education of the Orthopaedic resident surgeons and Orthopaedic trauma fellow who participate in providing high quality care at the New Jersey Medical School.
Dr. Galloway is an active member of several professional organizations, including AO Trauma North America, Orthopaedic Trauma Association, and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. And he is committed to providing exceptional patient care, advancing medical knowledge, and making a difference in his community.
When he's not in the operating room or engaged in education, Dr. Galloway enjoys a variety of hobbies. He is an avid runner, woodworker, and reader. He also finds solace in the great outdoors, often hiking with his wife and dog and indulging in mountain biking adventures.
