I am the Medical Director of the Palliative Medicine and Supportive Care Program at RWJUH New Brunswick and Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey. I was born and raised in New Jersey. I completed my Internal Medicine Residency at Rutgers RWJMS (New Brunswick) and Hospice and Palliative Medicine Fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering. After fellowship, I spent about a year and a half as an inpatient palliative care attending with Capital Caring, primarily at the Inova Fairfax Hospital location. I then accepted a position as an inpatient palliative care attending at Stony Brook Medicine where, in addition to seeing patients, I helped to further develop palliative care education, and created an ACGME accredited Hospice and Palliative Medicine fellowship program. After almost six years at Stony Brook, I am now back in NJ and happy to be home again. In addition to having difficult conversations, I have a particular interest in complex symptom management and in educating trainees.
