Advanced Heart Failure and Heart Transplant Program
The Rutgers Health Advanced Heart Failure and Heart Transplant program includes a multidisciplinary team of physicians, surgeons, nurse coordinators, and nurse practitioners who have valuable experience in the field of heart transplantation. The program staffs one of the premier cardiac transplant centers in New Jersey.
Our program offers leading-edge procedures and uses the most current medical and surgical equipment to increase options for patients with end-stage heart failure. This includes having the Joint Commission Certified Left Ventricular Assist Device (LVAD) program for patients as an alternative to transplant or as a bridge to transplant.
Physicians who serve the program are on the faculty of Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, a part of Rutgers University, one of the top research institutions in America. Our doctors are active in research and teach about all aspects of heart failure and transplantation, and each brings leading-edge knowledge from the classroom to the exam room.
If you or a loved one is facing heart failure or may be in need of a heart transplant, the Rutgers Health Advanced Heart Failure and Heart Transplant program can provide the expertise to return you to better health.
