The Rutgers Health Women with Bleeding Disorders program provides diagnosis, evaluation, management, and education for adult, adolescent, and pediatric patients who are experiencing problems with bleeding. The program also treats adolescents and women facing reproductive issues that may be subject to complications from bleeding disorders.

According to research, bleeding disorders in women and girls often go undiagnosed. However, with proper treatment, adult, adolescent, and pediatric patients with bleeding disorders can lead full, active lives as well as be able to undergo surgery, have dental work, or experience childbirth more safely.

Our program reaches out to providers, patients, and the community with transitional and family evaluation services. We are also a component of the New Jersey Regional Hemophilia Program, which provides comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, and management of bleeding disorders.

Physicians who serve our program are on the faculty of Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, a part of Rutgers University, one of the top research institutions in America. Many of our physicians are active in research and teach about all aspects of bleeding disorders and hematology. Each brings life-saving knowledge from the classroom to the exam room.
