Cerebrovascular and Endovascular Neurosurgery Center
The Rutgers Health Cerebrovascular and Endovascular Neurosurgery Center evaluates and treats patients with conditions affecting the blood vessels that supply the brain and spinal cord. These conditions include:
- Aneurysms
- Arteriovenous malformations (AVM)
- Extracranial cerebral vascular disease
- Intracranial and extracranial atherosclerosis (“hardening” of the arteries)
- Nosebleeds
- Spinal cord AVM/AVF (Arteriovenous fistulas)
- Vascular tumors
We specialize in endovascular treatment (minimally invasive procedures done inside the blood vessels) for these conditions. We are also experts in pre-operative embolization of brain and spinal tumors, and nonvascular procedures, such as vertebroplasty and kyphoplasty, that provide added support to vertebrae or structures surrounding the vertebrae. The center also collaborates closely with Rutgers Health neurology stroke teams to provide standard and emergency treatments 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.
Physicians with our center are on the faculty of Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, a part of Rutgers University, one of the top research institutions in America. Our doctors are active in research and in teaching about all aspects neurology and neurosurgery. Each brings life-changing knowledge from the classroom to the exam room.
If you or a loved one requires treatment for conditions that affect the brain or spinal cord, the Rutgers Health Cerebrovascular and Endovascular Neurosurgery Center can provide expert, compassionate care.
