Ophthalmology

The Rutgers Health Ophthalmology practice has a commitment to provide outstanding compassionate patient care for all aspects of visual science, and develop cures for blindness. Our practice consists of ophthalmic surgeons, researchers, and technicians, as well as ophthalmic surgeons-in-training.

The Ophthalmology practice has life-changing diagnostic equipment and therapies. Because our staff has so much experience in differing aspects of eye care, patients can receive consultations on various eye conditions from our many Rutgers Health ophthalmic subspecialists.

Our practice also comprises the staff of many centers and institutes of eye care, including:

  • Center for Macular Degeneration Treatment and Research
  • Cornea and Laser Vision Institute
  • Eye Institute of New Jersey
  • Institute for Ophthalmology and Visual Science
  • New Jersey Eye Trauma Center
  • Ophthalmic Center for Minimally Invasive Treatment
  • Ophthalmic Clinical Trials Center

Physicians who serve the Rutgers Health Ophthalmology practice are faculty members of Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School or Rutgers New Jersey Medical School. Both are part of Rutgers University, one of the top research institutions in America. Our doctors have exceptional clinical skills and educational backgrounds. Many are doing research supported by the National Eye Institute, and many have leadership roles in developing teaching material for the American Academy of Ophthalmology. Each physician brings life-changing knowledge from the classroom to the exam room.

If you or a loved one seeks basic eye care or treatment for specific eye conditions, make an appointment with the Rutgers Health Ophthalmology practice.
