Foot and Ankle Treatment
The Rutgers Health Foot and Ankle practice includes a multidisciplinary team that provides comprehensive diagnosis and treatment. Our physicians coordinate a team of therapists, a certified pedorthist (a professional with training to modify footwear and work with supportive devices for feet and lower limbs), and other medical specialists to provide life-changing care for all foot and ankle disorders.
Some of the conditions we help patients manage include:
- Diabetic foot complications such as
- Callosities (abnormal hardness and thickness of skin)
- Charcot arthropathy (degeneration of a weight bearing joint)
- Ulcers
- Foot pain
- Treatment of deformities such as
- Bunions
- Hammer toes
The practice also offers treatment of arthritic disorders of the ankle and foot, as well as in treating deformity or pain after bone fractures, prior surgery, or tendon injury.
Physicians who serve our practice are on the faculty of Rutgers New Jersey Medical School, a part of Rutgers University, one of the top research institutions in America. Our doctors are active in research and teach about all aspects of foot and ankle care. Each brings leading-edge knowledge from the classroom to the exam room.
