Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics

The Rutgers Health Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics program provides medical and therapeutic services to children with developmental disabilities and/or behavioral problems, and to children at risk for behavioral problems. Services are also available to families who may need support to cope with their child's disability, and families who may need advocacy services to help negotiate accommodations in schools and communities.

The program collaborates with a multidisciplinary team of Rutgers Health physicians; psychologists; social workers; nutritionists; and physical, occupational, speech, and hearing therapists to evaluate and refer children for more specific interventions. We also work closely with school personnel to obtain necessary services within school systems.

Doctors who serve the Rutgers Health Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics program are on the faculty of Rutgers New Jersey Medical School, a part of Rutgers University, one of the top research institutions in America. Our doctors are active in research and teach about all aspects of developmental-behavioral conditions, as well as pediatric medicine. Each brings leading-edge knowledge from the classroom to the exam room.

If you are the parent of a child who may be experiencing developmental-behavioral concerns, please reach out to the Rutgers Health Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics program today.
