Pediatric Allergy, Immunology, and Infectious Diseases
The Rutgers Health Pediatric Allergy, Immunology, and Infectious Diseases practice provides consultation for children and young adults with allergies or immune disorders. We can treat patients on an outpatient or inpatient basis. Our patients usually receive evaluation and treatment following an episode due to allergies or an infectious disease, and we follow their progress as necessary. We also provide referrals back to a patient’s treating physician.
Our practice includes a pediatric infectious diseases program that provides outpatient and inpatient consultation for children who have diagnostic or therapeutic problems, which may be infectious in origin, such as:
- Congenital and perinatal infections
- Fever of unknown origin
- Lyme disease
- Lymphadenopathy
- Mononucleosis syndromes
- Pneumonia
- Tuberculosis
Our doctors also have expertise in unusual infections, including those occurring in immuno-compromised patients.
Physicians who serve our practice are on the faculty of Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, a part of Rutgers University, one of the top research institutions in America. Our doctors are active in research and in teaching about all aspects of pediatric medicine, as well as allergy, immunology, and infectious diseases. Each brings leading-edge knowledge from the classroom to the exam room.
If you are the parent of a child who is experiencing allergies or has an immune disorder or an infectious disease, please make an appointment with the Rutgers Health Pediatric Allergy, Immunology, and Infectious Diseases practice today.
