Pediatric Concussion Program
The Rutgers Health Pediatric Concussion program provides comprehensive evaluation and treatment of children who have sustained a concussion. Our diagnostic testing for concussions includes:
- ImPACT Testing (Immediate Post-Concussion Assessment and Cognitive Testing)
- MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) studies
- SCAT (Sport Concussion Assessment Tool) testing
Following thorough evaluation, the program closely coordinates care with a patient’s primary care physician and the patient’s school.
Physicians that serve our program are on the faculty of Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, a part of Rutgers University, one of the top research institutions in America. Our doctors are active in research and in teaching about all aspects of pediatrics and concussions, and each brings leading-edge knowledge from the classroom to the exam room.
