Pediatric Home Ventilator and Tracheostomy Program
The Rutgers Health Pediatric Home Ventilator and Tracheostomy program provides care to children who have chronic lung/airway disease requiring tracheostomy and/or prolonged invasive and noninvasive ventilation at home. We care for children who need Bi-PAP, C-PAP, negative pressure ventilation, and mechanical ventilators. The program provides services to children from birth to adulthood.
Our program helps educate patients and families on how to provide quality medical care to children who are dependent on ventilators and/or a tracheostomy. Our team works with Rutgers Health physicians in a variety of disciplines. Our staff includes physicians, nurse practitioners, nutritionists, and social workers.
Physicians who serve our program are on the faculty of Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, a part of Rutgers University, one of the top research institutions in America. Our doctors are active in research and in teaching about all aspects of pediatric medicine, as well as chronic lung/airway disease. Each brings leading-edge knowledge from the classroom to the exam room.
If you are the parent of a child who has a tracheostomy or who may require ventilation, please reach out to the Rutgers Health Home Ventilator and Tracheostomy Program today.
