Occupational Medicine

The Rutgers Health Occupational Medicine Service provides clinical and consultation services for persons with occupational and environmental illnesses. These may include chemical exposures and worker's compensation cases.

We also offer many expert services including:

  • Case management for employees with work-related conditions
  • Clinical employee health
  • Communicable disease prevention and control
  • Comprehensive independent medical examinations
  • Medical review officer evaluations
  • Medical surveillance exams
  • Preplacement and periodic exams

Physicians with our service are on the faculty of Rutgers New Jersey Medical School, a part of Rutgers University, one of the top research institutions in America. Our doctors are active in research and in teaching about all aspects of family medicine. Each brings leading-edge knowledge from the classroom to the exam room.
