Adult Cystic Fibrosis Center
The Rutgers Health Adult Cystic Fibrosis Center serves the needs of adult cystic fibrosis (CF) patients in New Jersey and surrounding states. The center provides excellent patient care, resources, and advocacy for adult CF patients and their families. It is one of only three Level III CF centers in New Jersey accredited by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, the world's leader in the search for a CF cure.
Our mission is to be a world leader in CF care, education, and research by using an interdisciplinary approach to:
- Developing common goals in partnership with patients and families to enhance quality of life
- Practicing family-centered, evidenced-based clinical care for life
- Providing quality professional education
- Promoting innovative research
The CF Center includes a multidisciplinary team with physicians that are on the faculty of Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, a part of Rutgers University, one of the top research institutions in America.
Experienced team members in the fields of nursing, nutrition, social work, and respiratory therapy are also on staff to meet the needs of patients. And all of our professionals assist adult CF patients and their families in navigating today's increasingly complex health care and insurance systems so that they may secure optimal care.
