Comprehensive Sleep Disorders Center
The Rutgers Health Comprehensive Sleep Disorders Center provides a full range of diagnostic and treatment services for conditions relating to sleep and wakefulness. These include:
- Disorders of the sleep-wake schedule
- Hypersomnias
- Insomnias
- Narcolepsy
- Parasomnias (sleepwalking, night terrors)
- Periodic limb movements during sleep
- Sleep apnea
The center has full accreditation by the American Sleep Disorders Association. All physicians on staff are faculty members of Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, a part of Rutgers University, one of the top research institutions in America. The center takes a multidisciplinary team approach to care and provides access to specialists in fields related to sleep care including medicine, pediatrics, psychiatry, neurology, otolaryngology, and dentistry.
The Rutgers Health Comprehensive Sleep Disorders Center offers many diagnostic services, including polysomnography (overnight sleep tests) and multiple sleep latency tests (daytime nap studies) at our outpatient clinic and sleep laboratory in New Brunswick, NJ. We perform assessments for sleep apnea with continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) or bilevel positive airway pressure (BiPAP) devices and treatment.
Other treatments we provide include:

- Sleep hygiene training
- Upper airway surgery
