Pulmonary Consultation Service
The Rutgers Health Pulmonary Consultation Service specializes in the diagnosis and life-changing, compassionate care of patients with adult respiratory diseases. We help establish or review treatment plans and the coordination of patient care for the short and long term.
Physicians who are part of the Rutgers Health Pulmonary Consultation Service examine patients dealing with such conditions as interstitial lung diseases, lung cancer, obstructive lung diseases, pulmonary hypertension, and sarcoidosis.
All physicians with Rutgers Health Pulmonary Consultation Service are on the faculty of Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, a member school of Rutgers University, one of the top research institutions in America. Our doctors are involved in clinical research and in teaching about all aspects of pulmonary and critical care medicine. Each brings life-changing knowledge from the classroom to the exam room to a patient’s room.

Additionally, our board-certified pulmonologists can perform fiberoptic bronchoscopy to obtain specimens from the lung.
The Rutgers Health Pulmonary Consultation Service also provides interventional bronchology services for the diagnosis and treatment of malignant and non-malignant airway and mediastinal diseases. We also conduct therapeutic bronchoscopy to help relieve symptoms of central airway obstruction resulting from malignant or non-malignant conditions, or asthma.
