Neuroradiology

Rutgers Health Neuroradiology provides all aspects of diagnostic and intervention procedures in pediatric and adult patients who have neurological disorders and central nerve system diseases. The neuroradiologists’ responsibilities include CT, MRI images interpretation, consultation and intervention procedures.  The CT examination includes CT of head, neck, spine without and with contrast; CT angiogram of head and neck, CT myelogram, CT cisternogram. The MRI examination includes general diagnostic procedures: MRI of head, neck, spine without and with contrast; MR angiogram and MR venogram. We also provide advance MRI imaging including diffusion, perfusion scan, diffusion tensor, MR spectroscopy. The intervention procedures include:

  • Cisternogram
  • CT guided biopsy of soft tissue neck
  • Myelography
  • Paraspinal soft tissues and bone biopsy of vertebral bodies

Additional procedures include CT-guided aspiration and/or drainage of abscesses and/or cysts.

Our doctors are on the faculty of Rutgers New Jersey Medical School, part of Rutgers University, one of the top research institutions in America. They practice at University Hospital, a level one trauma center and stroke center.
