Provider Biography
Dr Prontnicki is a New Jersey native who received her medical education in nearby New York City and Philadelphia. She received her MD Degree from the New York University School of Medicine. While at NYU she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honors Medical Society. Dr Prontnicki completed a three year Pediatric Residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. In her third year she was chosen by her peers and mentors to serve as Chief Resident. She returned to New Jersey to complete a fellowship in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities at UMDNJ- Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in New Brunswick. After completing her fellowship, she joined the faculty of UMDNJ/RWJ Medical School (now Rutgers- R W Johnson Medical School. While on faculty she attended the Rutgers/UMDNJ School of Public Health and completed work to receive a Masters In Public Health degree. As a result of her course work, She was inducted into the Delta Omega- Public Health Honor Society. From 2003 to 2013, Dr Prontnicki's clinical work was based at Children's Specialized Hospital (a UMDNJ-RWJ affiliate). In the fall of 2013, Dr Prontnicki joined the faculty of Rutgers- New Jersey Medical School as Director of the Division of Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics.
