The Rutgers Health Obstetric Anesthesiology practice provides full-time coverage for the labor and delivery suite at University Hospital in Newark, NJ. Our anesthesiologists serve high-risk patients and provide labor epidurals and anesthesia for all Caesarian sections.

Our practice performs over 2,000 deliveries per year, including about 700 Caesarian sections. Our team is ready to meet the increasing demand for the use of local anesthesia during labor and delivery, and we collaborate with obstetricians to provide safe and pain-free deliveries.
